March 3, 2010
Holly Hill, Fla. – Metra Electronics, known for 60 years as a leader in innovative automobile accessories, is ready to customize the sound of the new, 2010 Ford Mustang. Look for us at CES, booth 2411.
Ford has unleashed this American legend for 2010 with more power, an upgraded interior and sportier styling that takes the Mustang back to its classic roots. The high-performance Shelby GT500 is back as well. The Mustang is a favorite of auto enthusiasts who like to customize their ride – especially their sound.
Metra is ready with the 99-5823CH dash kit for both DIN and DDIN radios, designed for all 2010 Mustang models (except those with the optional navigation package).
The 99-5823CH dash kit features Turbo2 technology – offered only by Metra – which retains all factory climate-control functions with soft touch buttons and LCD display. It also accommodates vehicles equipped with heated seats and compasses. The climate control status LCD will also show SYNC messages in equipped vehicles (when used with the AFSI-02 SYNC interface sold separately). The kit is painted a scratch-resistant charcoal to match the OEM finish. The 99-5823CH software is also USB updatable.
The kit features Metra’s DIN and DDIN ISO side-rail bracket systems, known for their strength and seamless, flush finish. As with all dash kits from Metra, it comes with all the necessary hardware and easy-to-follow instructions that makes installation a snap. Metra Electronics also offers a variety of data bus interfaces for the Taurus SE to complete the installation.
